Day 64

Plan: Omelet with VeggieSausage(260), PineappleTeriyakiMeatloaf(260) + Dinner out(400) + snacks/extras(680) = 1600

Breakfast (645AM): Omelet with veggie sausage, peaches and 45cal of cheese.  Okay, especially with the cheese.  i like the peaches and sausage.  The omelet does nothing for me - sorta squeaky. (260+45)

Snack (1030-1115AM):  Cottage Cheese with pineapple (100cal), 100cal of Pirates BOoty.

Lunch(1215PM): Pineapple Teriyaki Meatloaf.  Eh.  Put a packet of soy on the meat and that helped.  The bokchoy is still gross.  And the whole meal is super watery.  Maybe I should try mixing the water into the pineapple sauce next time.  I can't really drain it because all the quinoa falls out too.  Needs extra teriyaki sauce instead of soy.  (260cal)

Snack(220PM):  30cal of rice cake with 30 cal of peanut butter
Snack (530PM): Two mini choc chip cookies (70cal)

Dinner (630PM):  Panda Express - carefully considered...  Weighed precisely.  Ate 5.5 oz of string bean chicken breast (170cal), 3.5 oz of mixed veggies (25cal), 1/2 cup of rice 120cal. Finished the rest later (300cal)

LilDrum icecream (115cal)

Day 63

Plan: Omelet with VeggieSausage(260), Calif Wrap(400), PineappleTeriyakiMeatloaf(260) + snacks/extras(560) = 1300

Breakfast(700AM): Ham/Apple/Cheddar Muffin (240cal)

Snack (1200PM): Honeycrisp Apple (80cal), 100 cal of sourdough bread

Lunch(115PM): Calif Wrap. (400cal) - turkey still dry on this one and the little bacon bits a weird.  The tortilla is a nice touch of carb.  Can't taste the avocado.  Better once the artichoke side is mixed in and would have added a chopped tomato if I had one...

Snack(330PM):100cal of bread with a laughing cow light 35cal, 60cal of M&Ms

Dinner(630PM): Didn't have the dinner with me and, frankly, I wasn't busy enough to find the pre-made pinapple meatloaf appealing...  not a fav.  Plus, I've been craving a baked potato.  Bought a baker yesterday that weighed in at 12oz (284cal).  Microwaved for 4 minutes and baked in toaster for 10.  Added 2 swiss laughing cow lights (70), 1/4 cup of chopped deli ham (50cal), 1 cup of broccoli (30cal) and 1/4 cup of peas(25cal).  Added some Mrs. Dash and crushed red pepper.  Really good!  It was a LOT of food, could have done with a smaller potato, for future reference.

Dessert (915PM):  McDonald's Ice Cream Cone (150cal)

Daily Total: 1622cal, 258g carb
Carb heavy today, but a nice break from routine...

Day 62

Plan: Own breakfast (250), Lasagna ROllantini(390), own/leftover dinner(400) + snacks/extra(560) = 1600 planned, but too high now.  Still full from yesterday.

Breakfast(1000AM): Wheat English muffin (140), 0.5oz cheddar cheese (60cal), 1.25 oz deli ham (40cal) with two slices of apple.  Yum!!

Lunch(300PM):  Didn't feel hungry at all in the morning... but I'm still snacky because I'm sitting at home today.  Ate Wasa Crisp + artichoke dip at 230PM. (120)  Cooked lunch --  Lasagna Rollatini (390) was good.  Veggies were good.  Added 30cal of peas and 1TBS of shredded cheese (20cal according to pkg).

Snack(430 - 530PM): 70cal of popcorn, 50 cal of Popchips, Lil'Drum (115)

Dinner(630PM):  Meatloaf with 1/3cup of corn, 1 cup of green beans and 1 cup of broccoli. (185+50+30+30)

Dessert(800PM):  Apple Crisp - which has more calories than I thought.  I hunted down the recipe and did some math.  Appears like one serving is 345cal.  I have one serving left out of six...  I started eating it on Thursday.  Today is Saturday.  Damn.  Today = 500cal about.  So, I no longer have one serving left, I dumped it down the drain.

daily Total: 1810cal  lovely.

Weigh-In #9

Not a great week.  Weighed in on Friday morning, down 1.5lb.  A pound lost is a pound lost, but it should have been better.I think I was trying too hard to keep the calories pretty low 1300-1400.  Instead, I overate in the evenings to compensate.  Also, I wasn't drinking as much water and I was eating crappier foods (hello, apple crisp!).  Need to get back to evenly distributing calories throughout the day and aiming more for 1500-1600.  Still trying to zigzag calories though.  We'll see if next week is better at a slightly higher planned calorie intake.

September Wrap Up

Goal Tally

September 2010
$ at grocery = 113/20 ($20 is unreasonable, but so is $113!  I bought some staples this month, but will increase goal and decrease actual for next month)
$ at restaurant = 101/80 (Not too shabby...)
fast food trips = 1.0/2 (french fries once and a sausage mcmuffin once... pretty decent)
pounds lost = 13.5/10 (I'll take it!)
exercise miles = 9/20 (boo!)

Lost 13.5 pounds this month -- had a couple of weak weeks, but within planned goals overall.  Had  couple of diet sodas, but they didn't taste that good.  Ate french fries from fast food once (and once with a dinner) and ate a Sausage McMuffin once.  It wasn't that great.  Not eating at fastfood or drinking soda is not as difficult as I thought it would be.  If I end up there with friends, I would indulge once, but I don't feel the pull to go there on my own.  I feel like my habits are definitely starting to change.  It isn't as difficult to order a salad at a restaurant instead of a burger (though I still love it when friends get the burger so I can have just one bite!).  I don't feel so heavy and weighed down when I eat right.  I like that.

Blue = daily, Green = average

Goals for October:
Exercise. Move. Get up.  Small steps are still worthwhile.
Drink more water -- started to drink less the last 3 weeks.
Sleep.  Start going to bed early again.
Watch the snacking -- follow the timeline.  I've been real snack-y the last week -- more out of boredom/habit than hunger.

Day 61

PLan: Sweet Potato Pancakes(320), Chicken Pesto(310), Chipotle Chili(440) + snacks/extras(230) = 1300

Breakfast (700AM): Sweet Potato Pancakes(320) - good, but a litle dense.  Liked teh maple with sausage combo.

Snack(1200PM): 1/2 a banana (50cal), the rest was bad.  The whole thing was a little overripe.  In fact, i threw away 3 pieces of fruit when I got home - clearly bought too much for the week (and the quality wasn't as good this week.)

Lunch(315PM):  Running errands - late lunch.  Chicken Pesto (310) is good.  The beans still have a slightly acidic taste, but not as noticable as last time.  Scarfed about 30 cal of popcorn waiting for the microwave.

Off to Oktoberfest... !!
Dinner(815PM):  Did some research (intended to eat a sausage and two beers), but still guessing on calories here.  Two beers (300), a German veal sausage(500cal), some french fries (250cal), beehive cake (200cal?)  Total:  1250!  Oh well.  Said no to a bunch of things...  Should have said no to the french fries - didn't order them, but they were on the table.  Didn't even taste that good.  Ditto with the cake, it was okay, but we were just trying to use up extra $ tickets.
Veal Sausage, grilled

BeeHive Cake
Caved when i got home and ate some Apple Crisp (200 400cal) grr.
